Looks like the Russians have gone in the similar fashion of upgrading their T-72's like the Ukrainians.

Nice upgrade but why dint they place an extra ERA block at its side to cover most of the fighting compartment ? At the back part where the engine is slat armour is a good idea but some ERA at the fighting compartment would be usefull and its impact on speed shouldnt be too high.

again from the T-90CA topic they are Nakidka which reduces their thermal signature.

But still the old T-72 commanders sight.

T-80UD and T-90s commanders sight with much better optics and integrated remote-controlled MG-mount would be better suited.

Main difference - T-90CA has a new welded turret and a automated comander AAMG with fire capability under armor, as well as a separate commander targeting complex (on Rogatka commander can only override gunner in using the weapon).

I'm sorry, what? explain this to me please, i dont understand everything in english...

Does the T-90Ca use this 130mm Navy Gun?

Baron Harkonnen

T-90 use 125 mm gun.

The anti-aircraft machine gun is mounted on the commander's cupola and is intended for use in the ground/air and ground/ground roles being aimed and fired while remaining in the vehicle under full armour protection from the commander's station.

Maybe because there is no "T-90CA"? It's T-90SA - Russian alphabet don't have letter C. However, the Russian "S" looks exactly like our "C", so they tend to get mixed up.

Info (in Russian) and good pics:
