Anybody used this program yet? What do you think?

Hamachi gives you LAN over the Internet.

Virtually any application that works over local/home networks can also be used over Hamachi networks.

Think - Windows File Sharing (http://forums.hamachi.cc/viewtopic.php?t=6337), iTunes (http://forums.hamachi.cc/viewtopic.php?t=4202), Remote Desktop (http://forums.hamachi.cc/viewtopic.php?t=4078), Remote Assistance or even gaming (http://forums.hamachi.cc/viewtopic.php?t=180) - all fully encrypted, authenticated and peer-to-peer.

Use for quite some time, its awesome and very easy to use.
You need to open a port for it in your firewall though.

Sorta sounds like Xbox -connect that I used for Halo 1. It was basically a LAN on the internet so we played system-linked with people from europe and other places.

why use a third party software when you can just make a VPN with normal everyday windows 2K/XP/Vista?

Takes a little know how and having a little program do alot of it for you makes things a easier i guess.
