Marine Corps uses the G Wagon, so it is very likely that this is one. They chose it because its transportable in CH-46 Sea Knight, CH-53 Sea Stallion, and in the future, the V-22 Osprey. The HMMVE is not.

What is FAST? And isn't Force Recon considered SF? I know that MEU(SOC) stands for Marine Expaditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable), wouldn't that mean you have special forces for special operation? I'm not trying to piss you off just trying to learn.

The Ziptie is a reduntant securing method (RSM), the AN/PEQ mounts to the handguard by a clamp and picatinny rail.

FAST stands for Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Teams. The only Special Forces in the United States are US Army Special Forces (such as 5th Special Forces Group, if Im not mistaken). Force Recon are Special Operations Forces (???). Please correct me if Im wrong TP or any of the others.

The only two ways I know "gay" is used is:
Homo******
Happy
The "happy" wouldn't sound right with that sentence:
?? are you happy with marines or what?? ^^
But "homo******" fits better:
?? are you homo****** with marines or what?? ^^
So I think the second type of "gay" is what you meant.

The only Marines I've seen using the G-wagon are Force Recon. The Marines just added an 80-90 man element to SOCOM, but that was only last year. You don't mess with Texas (****ounced Tay-Haas :D ) because Texans tend to be very proud of their state. Plus it rhymes! :) Nice pic, though. I like the brass knuckles- wonder where he found them.

I thought 29 Palms in California was the largest military base (structures and population) in the world?
That, or maybe Nellis AFB area-wise since it take up almost half of Nevada. ;)

Force Recon is not SF or SoF. SF are "Green Berets" SoF is SEALs,CAG,SF,Rangers,160th SOAR and Air Force Special Operations(CCT) and the new Marine Det-1. SoF falls under SOCOM and JSOC.Force Recon does not so hence not considered SoF. It is more or less a matter of symantics really. We consider ALL Marines elite and no unit any more elite than another because we all work for the Fleet Command and we are all Marines. Before FR became a primary MOS you usually spent 18 months or if you were lucky a couple of years(there are excetions though) and then you go back to the Fleet(Infantry) where you will try and bring what you learned and your experiences to help your unit and the new kids who get all ga ga gew gew over you being a quote BTDT.
Hope this helps, you actually kinda have to be a Marine to follow!

TP, which is more elite, Army Ranger or Marines? From Mark Bowden's book SF thought Rangers as novices, and regular Army like 10th Mtn. as civilians.

I'm not sure it's so much that all Marines are "elite" so much as every Marine is a Marine, and that's all that matters.

Everybody has different missions. Rangers are awesome sodiers and i have nothing but respect for them. Some of my best friends an are Rangers and of course we are bias for our own service but that doesnt mean we dont have mutual respect for what eachother brings to the table. I can tell you that Ranger school is a lot harder kick in the nuts that Marine Infantry school.
Looking at my above statement from a previous post I must say that I mispoke! Marines as a whole are considered an elite fighting force because we are self contained with our own Infantry and Airforce which is the 7th largest air force in the world IIRC(no small feat since we are only 170,000 strong total). We dont look at anty other Marine as being more elite than another no matter what their MOS is beacuse we are Marines first and foremost and most importantly!

You guys need to learn the difference between SF and SoF. Special Forces is it's own entity AKA Green Berets, but dont call an SF soldier a Green Beret! SoF's is all the units that fall under SOCOM as previously mentioned. Also dont get confused with the with the MEU(SOC) acronym they/we are Infantry Marines that do a "work up" for a specific mission and will learn some new set skills that you wont do while a regular grunt Infantry Marine(usually). It is hard to put this down in context in writing.

Perhaps it's because Rangers are much younger than those Deltas and thus more likely to make mistake from veteran's point of view.

The great thing about that rant about your skills is that you spelled "whole" wrong... ;)
And while were on the marines issue, define elite please.
As far as I know the Marine Corps (nothing but respect for the corps btw) is not considered an "elite fighting force". Seriously, regarding the manpower they waltz around with?
A fighting force of that size, larger than certain countries entire defence force, of course has its own office clerks, laundry-workers, dessert chefs and so on. Sure they are "riflemen first and foremost", but inevitably that skill as a rifleman will simmer away after making coffee through the entire Gulf War.
Now as far as I understand, feel free to correct me if Im wrong, the Marine Corps demands a generally higher standard physically and skill-wise from their personnel compared to the US Army general populace, but that is a completely subjective opinion/notion of mine.

By the way, I graduated from Fort Benning, smacktard. Dude you are a midget wannabe and add nothing but one liners and smart ass remarks. You show no insight to the military and are an attention whore with your look at me and my high flying tricks. I did retract my statement about how it was worded if you paid any attention which in essence I was wrong and Iam man enough to admit it. My combat record and record in the ring stands for itself you havent got anything on me son but thats cool just keep fooling yourself and soon enough you will believe you own crap.
If you know anything about Socnet and why or how ones gets to be there, voted in by your peers according to your combat and SoF background by former CAG,and SEALs and other FR Marines that I have served with in the past. So no wannabe warrior here my friend. Iam also the moderator in the H2H forum and not because I beat up on some little kid as yourself get it? I never threatened you,I dont have to,i just wanted to know if you wanted to put your Rifle, pistol and general knowledge of tactics up against mine, you are the paranoid one! I agree it is retared to make threats but sometimes it is the only way to get through to people around here.Iam on the edge with all this **** going on and I have had a few friends killed recently and iam waiting for the word to go myself.I take the Marine corps very very seriously and your remark(hahahah) was not well received by me. I will take you up on that offer if this is not settled between us here, you make the call?
