Something to left your spirits, my American friends, after all these POW captures in Iraq(i won't call them hostages - Iraq never ceased to be a theater of war)

Remember the "Three Amigos"?

Three US soldiers captured in Kosovo during the 1999 skirmish, by the Serbian troops?

Here's a note one of them, soldier by the name of Chris Stone, left to his Serbian guards, upon his relase:

Hopefully you can make that out. If not, it goes something like this:

Thank You (Hvala),

To all Serbian guards at this prison thank you for your kindness and respect. I have much liking for Serbian people after this and I will continue to pray to God for (peace sign) and an end to this war.

Thank you mostly for cigarettes you hav gave me. Bog Bomogo!

Sincerely,
Chris Stone

No, the Wahhabis are not as nice as the Serbs. There is no hope for them in such a large country. May God be with them.

You're correct, Sean, but this message was written to the guards as he was being released. There was no danger to him or the two other guys.

I suggest you read this again.. . . and maybe the second time around we will be less likely to notice he writes with a poor understanding of English? That letter is BS.

Odd that there is no comment from the soldier that "wrote" this. Also odd that his poor grammar closely resembles what we often see here when people are writing in English & it is their second language. I suppose it is natural to slip into using the sentence structures of the language you are most comfortable with.

I find it hard to believe.

And the majority of Iraqis are just as nice as the majority of Serbs.

But the militant Iraqis and former Regime members make Slobodan look like a god damn angel.

stop being narrow minded.

They were all truck drivers from different countries. I don't think anyone cared to pay a ransom for them.

The reason why terrorist would take hostages is because they expect to gain something by doing so.
