I have heard some things about this game .
Can someone be please specific , what is this like , and if it's really worth to spend time on ?

Overall it's good fun. Nice graphics and everything. Uses a different system to gauge your accuracy and combat effectiveness. If you are taking incoming rounds your CEM (combat effectiveness metre) will reflect that by dropping your accuracy and effiency and make your abilty to hit targets greatly reduced.

If you play on Official servers you get Honour Points. Honour Points is a system which when you reach a certain number (15 HP) you can then use the Special Forces units in the game instead of Indigenous Forces, meaning basically a new weapon (M4 SOPMOD). I think once you reach 25 HP you can play on "elite servers" or something...not really sure. And what that does I dont really know.

Check out www.AmericasArmy.com for more and better details. New patches and updates come out every so often which almost always make the game heaps better. It's a free game which is definately up there with games you would pay full retail price for...I would say better than some even. Check it out, it's worth it !

it's a fantastic game. very realistic and very challenging. new patch is due soon which features the stryker brigade and special forces occupational specialties (like engineer, etc).

Yeah its very realistic and fun.... You first have to go to basic training to get deployed into real online missions (which everyone uses teamworks and everyone knows what they are doing because YOU have to train)

You can go to longer schools if you want to do different stuff, but it takes up alot of time..

like airborne school, ranger school, medic school, markmanship, etc etc.

overall a good FREE game.

The game is good fun - it's only drawback is the players :roll: I personally enjoy "military simulations", but 90% of the servers have their map times set to 10 minutes which is helluva unrealistic and just turns it into a run n gun type game :( And even then, if you're still alive after 3 minutes of play there are morons complaining that you're camping :cantbeli:

SF maps are the best. That's all I play when I get the time. When I'm not hitting the grav bong in my friend's grandmother's bath-tub.

Nice looks - well sure... In other aspects - for me just somewhat dissapointing shoot'em out. Although it can be fun when played in really cooperating teams (voice comm, such as Teamspeak suggested). Give it a try and judge for yourself - though "arcade" and "no fear" factors among the players are ruining the fun. For example: popular evasive tactic when under fire - jump! jump! rofl

Yeah - I know there's something called a "playability factor", but... :roll:
It reminds me of a paintball match in Poland beetween some Paintballers and if I remember right some CT ops - Paintballers won... Because they weren't afraid of enemy "fire" and rarely ever took any cover instead of this surpressed "real" guys who were acting as in real situation. Ignorance is a power though ;)

I didn't like it that much... Only played the 82nd Airborne mission where you have to enter that door of the building... it's been a while.

I thought there were some realistic aspects, but overall didn't get a great realistic feel to it.

Sound is great, missions are a little boring after a while. Close encounters didn't seem too fun... I would put a double tap and then some more rounds into the guy and he'd just turn and spray me dead. Lots of nade spamming.

Biy , i kick ass on that infantry any time any day . And i can take your ass as well ;) ;) . Bring it on , all of you . Be prepared to get a whole new can of whoopass ..

BTW : Why no one talled me that the game is fu_king huge ?? I am downloading it for at list 5 hours now .
