On a regular basis (meaning, > 90% of the time), do you open the car door for your girlfriend or wife?

I used to open doors for women when they enter buildings. I don't do it anymore because some of them gave me dirty looks.
Damn feminazis.

When they do that, just say: "After you, Ma'am (or Madam)". That'll rile em up for sure. :D

Car door...most of the time...
A little trick I do: When you pick up your date, park in the driveway with the passenger-side door closest to the door...especially when the weather sucks. ;) Get some cool pts. for that
Other doors in public...sometimes

car doors....no....most girls just get out of the car.....i why sit for another ten seconds...just to go to a concert....building doors...i open those
Of course, no self-respecting southern gentlemen would allow his wife to open a door if he can help it. Plus it is just polite.

I use to, but I've found most girls like to do it themselves....unless it's a heavy door.

hey... it doesn't matter what the motives are.... the outcome is still the same... gentlemanly behavior.... which is a good thing. Just had to give you a hard time. p-)
All is well.... I was out of town, and my friend has a computer that barely runs, so coming to the board was too frustrating. :D

50/50 I'm a bad northman. I ain't going to get out of my car and go all the way around just to open the door for a "princess". For my grandmom, sure 100%.
I tend to open them but then I wonder of completely unawares that you have to wait around and close it as well and any selfrespecting Dutch chick has to immediately snap a comment about it in my general direction
'ow you like doing things half way huh sp2c?'
'you allways finnish things off before the girl's actually ready huh sp2c?'
so I'll just get out again, open the door, pull the girl out, push her back in and slam the door and get back in the driver seat.
'so you like it rough huh sp2c'
then I just smile like a dentist and drive off

Car doors, no. Back when I was dating (in the '80s)- many women were taught that it was a condescending gesture - and a guy ran the risk of appearing sexist if he did it. Of course, if he didn't he could look like a jerk. A no-win situation. It just seemed very awkward and backward to me, so I never did it. Women at the time were really over-the-top about being independent and equal blah blah blah - they could hardly complain when they were actually treated as such.
Building doors - heck yes. I'm right there and can easily get the door without it looking forced. Hell, I hold it for pretty much anybody, not just ladies...it's just common courtesy.

I have to open the car door for my wife, because she broke it and now you can't open it from the outside. Grrr, she's also broken the heater controls, and the rear hatch shock thingies. I think she hates my car.

I always open doors and such for women, carry stuff for em and try to be curtious and polite in general.
The other day I opened a door for a girl on campus. She waved me through so i srugged and walked through.
"Don't you know that chivalry is dead?" she said,
"Not at all" i said
"Yes it is, we killed it."
"I didnt kill anything"
"I mean women killed it. And you know what, I'm glad its dead!"
then she gave me a mean look...really ****ing wierd. Who the **** is offended when someone is nice to them?!

Screw the Nazi Feminists! I've been married for eleven years and if possible I always do the small things for my wife that are easy to forget;
Open the door
Walk on the side of the street
Give her my jacket
Tell her she looks beautiful
Get her flowers
Tell her I love her
And in return, I've got at great partner/friend/wife.
Car door? Girl friend?
I feel left out...

Sometimes, I like to open the door for him, just to throw him off, but show him I care.

I was a 100% gentleman in the military ball last weekend. I opened car door for my date, let her hold my left arm, waited outside the lady's restroom for her, referred to all the ladies as ma'am, danced with her. But i'm an absolute asshole when i'm not in uniform. p-)

I generally hold the door open for ladies or shut the car door for them. That counts especially for older ladies.
Some would say it's sexism... I call it respect. That was how I was raised. It's like when speaking to your elders.. it never hurts to say Sir or Ma'am.
In some regards I'm old fashioned.
