The question was around looooong time ago... but I do not find the thread or remember the answe. Maybe RomanS knows the answer. He's the pro in russian stuff.

as for Partizan, the only place the has them is SPOSN
They are in Russia, and chances of them sending you stuff out of Russia are very slim. Sorry my friend. Partizan is a bitch to find

I'll visit the Russian embassy in Argentina to make a complaint about you. :)
The SPOSN website shows the Partizan cammo as sold out, and it has been like that for months... :-(

That camo looks sweet :) Much better than the ACU crap that the U.S. Army is switching over too (mainly because its cheaper than thier old BDU's)

I have the extremely rare "light" version of this camo (not reversible like the Partizan suit which also has the brown "fall" pattern on the inside), the one I have is modeled after the famous Soviet hooded KLMK two-piece combat concealment set.
It says Russian size 48, but wears more like Russian size 50 or 52, I am 70 kilos and 176 cm (Russian size 50) and it fits me fine. Brand new, still in the original stuff sack. PM me if interested.

Not surprising, because according to SPOSN, they've used the SS camo as the basis of the "lyagushka" pattern although they claim that their variant is much more effective in Russia's temperate regions.

I'd like to see your source for that, especially considering that a full ACU set is ~$80 compared to ~$60 for woodland BDUs.

The military is using the new ACU's for both woodland and desert camo, instead of buying two sets of BDU's for desert and woodland. So overall its cheaper by about $40.
Also what I ment when I said cheaper is that their crappier from what I've herd. Just cuz the ACU costs more doesn't mean its better.

What you heard is correct. Supposedly they are made from the same 50/50 nyco as the enhanced hot weather BDU. However, in reality, they are like wearing tissue paper. They'll rip just looking at them.
As for cost, I would gladly pay more for two different sets that actually blend with the surroundings instead of this day-glo **** we have now. I've never heard more complaints in my life. Even the damned civilians are asking WTF? Some retiree asked why the Army went to "high visibility" uniforms, was it to keep fratricide down? That, my friend, is embarrassing.

I was in Academy a couple weeks back when a soldier wearing ACU walked in, everybody in the store was looking at him like WTF are you wearing!

Sorry, the coversation can be about fine women, small furry animals or molecular physics..... Sooner or later it will turn to how crappy the ACU is. It's an aspect of life that truly cannot be explained....

Even then you might not find it. The surplus store I went to in Komsomolsk-na-Amur certainly didn't have any. But then again, that's kinda the ass-end of Russia. Might have better luck in Moscow I suppose, but I've never been there.

Will be tough in Moscow too unless you have some local contacts that can order directly from SPOSN.
