How do you play with a knife?
Easy.
When I go hiking/snowshoeing, I clip my knife to the strap of my medpack and away I go.
When I go whitewater canoeing, I fasten my knife to the front of my vest and go on my way.
A knife is a tool, not a toy.

I posted a tread about combat knives got some very good responses. I love knives and have been along time collector old and new tactical spec-op style knives BTW there was a great article in SOF mag about the "Blades of War" a few months ago.

some no-name brand multi-tool
woot prop's to the no-name multi-tool...I have one and its really usefull and can take a serious beating and comes with a cool pouch for it that fits on my LCE2 belt.
For a pocket knife I use another no-name brand, cant go wrong I paid $30 bucks for it back in 2000 and its still kicking around. Its one of the folding knives....nothing nearly as fancy as everyone else.

I've got this serrated scalpel that taxidermists use. It works really good on human bone.

This is my dagger: Umethar, Talisman of the Anath
http://www.getswords.com/images/umethar.jpg
Created to restore order to a world wrought with chaos, Umethar Ð Talisman of the Anath, has been forged from great powers. The hilt was carved from the bone of the Ancient One, first slain by mortal man; the pommel, fashioned in the image of Anath, fathers to the Ancients. Umethar holds within itself, dual powers of creation and destruction.
I mostly just have it for show, however if the Ancient One ever awakens from his eternal slumber I shall be waiting, dagger in hand to send his soul to the fire scorched nether regions of the universe. And it only cost me $29.95!

naaa... just stop playing with "Cutco" knifes. Those knifes are sharp.
But we're not talking about kitchen knifes are we. ;)
The knife I want is the legendary Khukri knife used by our British cousins. :)

I've got a Benchmade AFCK that I carry on an almost daily basis. Then an CRKT folder thats on my web gear. And a CRKT stiff K.I.S.S. on my dive gear for cutting mono-filament line. I'll take some pictures soon.
This is a picture of a knife similar to mine and its associated tools.
