Compare that to the fighting going around there and it won't look so sick anymore.

If it is real, I think it’s funny. It is 18 yr old humor. It wasn’t meant for the world press. When I was stationed in Egypt, we taught some Egyptian soldiers to greet someone in English, say “hemorrhoids.” Their base was next to Nama Bay with many English speaking tourist. We came back a month later & they were still saying it.

They taught us some Arabic phrases. I’ve always wondered what they had us really saying.

You're reactions only show you know nothing of the combat arms.

18-yrs-old humor so it's all right or what?

Yes, I'm defending him. What he did was alright. Pretty mild compared to some of the stuff that I saw as a Paratrooper in the Army.

As Confucius say, 'Pull the corncob out of your butt & relax.'

Maybe he should pull that corncob out of Chris 196's butt so his panties will stop binding! :D Assuming this is real (which I doubt), it is harmless sophomoric humor. In another time and place it would be funny as hell. Give the guy a break, nobody got hurt. IMHO this is better than a lot of alternative ways for young soldiers in a hostile, foreign land to "let off a little steam".

It's a fake. Look at the artifacts around the letters on the cardboard. See how the texture is different than the rest of the cardboard.

The guy who circulated that around needs to be slapped. :bash:

No, I have a great sense of decency. I just don't find this offensive much like I do not find Canuck jokes offensive or Catholic jokes offensive. Often the most humorous things are crass and harsh. Doesn't mean they aren't funny. Judge him if you want, but I won't. Would I want to make this joke myself? No. Does that mean I am incapable of making insensitve or hurtful jokes? No again.

It is fake.

Here's the real one  (jk!)

But still, I don't think it is that bad. Anyone formerly or currently in the military will probably be aware of the strange and dark sense of humour that soldiers tend to have ;)

this is obviously fake because the rampaging imperialist legions of the americanazi military are far too busy playing baseball with iraqi baby heads, shipping able bodied iraqi males off to the plutonium mines on president bush's ranch, expeller pressing the old and infirm iraqis to supply lubricating oils for the tanks, and shipping the young cute iraqi chicks (so far they've found 3...not bad for a year of looking) off to the harem of violated islamic flowers that all americans are entitled to since president bush named himself emperor and ordered america's military to nuke the world...now if you'll excuse me, i need to log off and have a nice glass of palestinian infant blood to celebrate my profits from stealing nigerian oil.

can't you ****ing chumps take a joke? oh gawde! that eevil man wrote such horrible things! he's certainly ten thousand times more of a criminal than saddam or his sons!
too bad it's probably fake, cuz it's funny!

I gurantee that the original says Hi mom, we're doing great here.

There are some sick people out there that want to show US soldiers as evil invaders. Its photoshoped, everyone can see it.

What about this one?

Many moons ago we taught the morrocans to say "Scooby Doo" as slang for hello - we were stupid.

i don't know what the paratrooper did. but this picture is real, and they sent a investigative team to iraq to find out if anything that was on the sign actually happened. :cantbeli: i also saw that video of the U.S. Army tankers that shot and crushed a taxi drivers car because he was stealing pieces of wood.

Retard

I saw the tank incident too. That one, I did not like. The looting had to be stopped. However, those soldiers appear to be having fun while they destroyed a man's livelihood (taxi).

The photo incident is way over blown. If I was this guy’s Sergeant, he’d get extra duty for allowing the photo out on the net because it’s clear that all the limp dics would cry over it.

MaDuce

The tankers where out of line but they where stealing and the taxi didn't have a license.
