I'm relatively new to this forum myself but the one thing that I notice is how quick everyone is to jump down the throats of the new comers. This is probabally the biggest pet peeve for me. Google is not the be all and end all of searching. Sometimes it would be nice if some of you just co-operated.

It's the usuall way forums work, especially when a newbie comes and asks for stuff that could be easily found through search button.

Because all Russians are deaf from birth, therefore better protection all around head is preferred over useless hearing.

Yes, "Barmitsa" is the name of one of the first generation of Basic Kit of Individual Equipment that are entering service. The kit includes over 60 items; the helmet - "Borit-M" – is among them. This helmet, also known as 6B7-1L, is produced by Armocom:
