Your images show the 6x6 variant of the Cougar, which is manufactured by Force Protection in the US. Additional information is available through the company's website:
http://www.forceprotection.net/models/cougar/

The Trojan is nothing else as a combat engineer vehicle, based on the chassis of the Challenger 2. It is intended to replace the obsolete Chieftain AVRE vehicles currently in service, introduced together with the Titan armored bridgelayer.

The British MoD ordered a variant of the Cougar HE 6x6, called Mastiff PPV (protected patrol vehicle):

Maybe interesting to note that the Cougar H 4x4 is a US version of the British (!) TSG Tempest:

Apparently all designed by the same British designer as well IIRC. He emigrated and started working for Force Protection designing the things. Pretty sure he posted about it on ARRSE.

I was looking at those vehicles and they look very similar to some of the stuff that the SADF (South African Defense Force) of the apartheid era used, mainly the "Casspir" and the like, which were all built with anti-mine properties in mind. infact the "Buffalo" from force protection looks like a bigger modified Casspir.

just thought i'd mention the similarities. :)

It's called a Mamba and it's a South African vehicle.
It's the RG-31 not the Mamba.

I'm pretty sure he knows its South African kit, just being used increasingly by Canada. Guys over there love this vehicle, and fight over who gets to patrol in the RG-31 over the G wagon.

Yep that thing is the Mamba, i'd know because there was several parked at a maintenance office being sorted out. they are pretty badass, not overly spacious inside though, but safe. i'd prefer to drive in one of those over an HMMWV or G-wagon any day.

Take a look on the BAE OMC site:
http://www.baesystemsomc.co.za/

The RG-31 and the Mamba are 2 totally different things. The Canadians use the RG-31.
