Hi all

my first post here
Here are pics from Polish-Slovak border battlefield, where in fall 1944 Soviet Army with Czechoslovak Army Corps were crossing the fortified Carpathian mountains. The operation itself cost 20,000/89,000 KIA/WIA Soviets and 1,100/6,500 KIA/WIA from Czechoslovak troops. Allied troops were commanded by gen. Moskalenko, German troops were commanded by general Heinrici. We visited these places in August 2005.

Amazing pictures. The last one of Dieppe is a great one.....the sacrifice of all those Canadians and Brits which made D-Day possible.
