A while ago a Dutch military show called Dutchmil had an episode on precision weapons. The show included footage of Forward Air Controllers guiding a F16 to a target in a live fire exercise. I recorded the show and have put the interesting pieces together in this vid.

Spoken language is Dutch, but it's a nice watch even if you don't understand most of what is being said.

Btw. in case anyone is wondering who that journalist is that wanted to paint the target, he's Vic Franke the guy that got in some trouble for picking up a weapon from a soldier and firing at taliban. :D

Listening while they speak english, what an awful accent.

(Don't want to offend, mine is worse)

By the time they completely set up the laser target designator, their target will be well gone :)

Nice Demo. Even nicer Low Level departure from the 2nd -16 !
Interesting to hear "Bitching Betty" in english and not in Dutch.

It's required nowadays if you don't want a language barrier to prevent you from participating in international missions.
