I've often wondered about that. Is it improper to refer to Marines as soldiers?

Soldiers are Army, Marines are Marine Corps.

Both can be called troops.

And that matters why? You walk the streets carrying an AK you open yourself up for ridicule. Plus, like she gives a crap what we think anyway.

She may have the 'look at me I'm a bad bitch' pose down to a science but I suspect when bullets start flying over her head she's going back in her house to pray.

Actually i don't see any difference if we consider US Marines. They're soldiers. They're definitely not sailors.

Also in Russia it is called Naval infantry. So i'm right. You're not.

I made a comment about the AK-47, and you got issues with that? or with the rules concerning marriage through Islam laws?

Marine is considered to be a title representing those in the USMC. Yes, they're soldiers, but when you're a kid, do you call an adult "human" or do you call them "Mister?"
