That GI left the door of the Humvee open. Big time mistake, for the sniper had a clean shot to the back of the co-driver's neck, who was sitting as-pretty-as-you-please inside. Might as well have put up a sign reading:"Shoot me, my buddy made me a sitting duck"

"Ok, I´v just been shot. What should I do? Hmm, make a cake? Drink a beer? Or maybe I should get some cover..?"
Ahh, I´v got plenty of time and i´m not very stressed up, so I close this door so that my friend in the front seat don´t have to take cover."

More like an eye-safe laser scanner that detects snipers by their crosshairs (I think). There are also sonic detectors with trajectory computing systems, but these work after the sniper has fired...

You got to love NIJ lvl III/IV body armour.. Stops practical all rifle rounds, 5.45mm, 5.56mm, 7.62x39mm SC, 7.62x51mm, 7.62x54R... Only drawback with those AO'2 ceramic plates is that they shatter around the impact zone, reducing effectiveness of multiple hits. Rather use 16mm HHS which weighs significantly more, but can withstand 5+ hits before structural failure.

But for that video, i think those Insurgent are currently cremated or buried. As that is a US captured video :D

That's for the average Iraqi insurgent sniper. But what if there is a cool and consummate pro out there that can take a quick but accurate second shot in the confusion and then disappear? A mistake is a mistake, regardless of whether it had dire consequenses or not...

No the average sniper would maybe fire two shots, but the pro would only fire one from the same position.
Thats why most snipers become only average, they do the ultimate misstake by fiering two shots, and it results in their own death.

As I remember, after the medic (the guy who got shot) took cover, he located the van that the shot came from and returned fire. He and his squad killed the spotter in the van, and they wounded the sniper, which they found in a courtyard of some school. Also the best part of this is that medic who was shot bythe sniper treated him on site.
I remember seeing a press release about it.
