Itīs a Finnish 20 mm Lahti anti-tank rifle. My grandfather served in a crew
with one of those during the Continuation War, they were still effective against
light Soviet tanks, as the BT-5/7 in example, but hardly against anything heavier,
so they were often used against bunkers, gun enplacements and well simply,
as anti-material rifle, like the 12.7 Barret is used today. In the late war they
were also used against aircraft.

Yep, a Lahti. Quite a few of those were imported into the U.S.

A U.S. civilian could buy one of those for around $100 dollars. Ahh the good old days :D

They are not banned. But require a Class III destructive device license.

$200 tax stamp and lots of nackground checks.

Last one I saw was $12,000 and that was 6 years ago.

mustamato,

Ones used in anti-aircraft role were Lahti L-39/44..

Those also had full automatic capability..

Damn, if these Lahti AT-rifles were used against tanks and sometimes airplanes then think about one of those 20 mm rounds hitting a soldier....
