More than 200 years ago, a group of 900 American militiamen helped turn the tide of the Revolutionary War.
The men rode hundreds of miles on horseback to defeat Patrick Ferguson's British contingent at the Battle of Kings Mountain.
Now, the route taken by the militia is known as the Overmountain Victory Trail. It starts in Abingdon, Va., and ends 330 miles later at the Kings Mountain National Military Park. Colin Resch News 14 Carolina
Let's walk 330miles on a trail to see history.
