How are you guys liking your new body armor? We (Canada) were kinda hoping for some modular system, but our cold war, garrison driven military still believes in uniformity in the field, combat etc...anyways good pics, post more if you can!

thanks alot. ill post some more tonight and ill make them bigger

the underwater tunnel is called the sheepdip. it happens so fast and if u dont get through it you fail. so u dont really have time to be scared, its right at the start of the endurance course aswell, so you have to complete the other 5 miles -piss wet through

Cheers mate. good phots.

You might have linked the wrong jobber when putting the thumbnails in. Would be good to see the high res.

@Närskydd: The first 'yomping' pic looks like Brecon. The others might be Dartmoor though. That's where a lot of RM 'yomping' goes on.

The 'underwater tunnel part' is known as the sheep dip. The clip shown on the advert is not a part of the endurance course, the sheep dip is an underwater concrete pipe less than 8 feet long that you are pushed/pulled through. There is nothing to ensnare you and the biggest danger is probably getting the water in your mouth, there is some pretty nasty **** in there.

Great place, one of our subbies charged into one of the rooms and promptly fell down a hole in the floor and broke his arm rofl

I had a tab once, made me cough, feel sick and I was too short of breath to finish it. I've not started another one since...

A Tab - a lesurly walk on the way to the Galley, for some Scran and then a visit to the Heads to ditch gash. Then perhaps a run ashore? Maybe a pint of Purple parachute (Scrumpy with a tot of Pusser Rum in it!)

Aah, you give up far too easily. Tis a pitty there are no matelots in this thread. I have a great respect for the Transport section of the Royal Marines.

They take us
We take the ground
the Army police it once the shooting stops

You know, we were helping out on a cadet camp a couple of years ago now (eaaasy money!) and this instructor started talking to us about he'd been a Marine, spun us a few tales and what not, eventually turned out he'd been in the band!
