If you've read the "Question" thread I posted a couple of days ago, you'd know I've been dealing with an infection in my left forearm. I got it taken care of yesterday, because I couldn't handle the pain anymore. When it was all over with, they gave me a prescription for antibiotics that I could get filled at CVS.

So I went there today to pick up the meds, and gave the prescription slip to the pharmacist. She looked at it, and said, "You're picking up for _____?"
"What?" I looked at the paper and I'll be damned! It's a prescription slip for somebody else. They'd given me the wrong slip at the doctor's office.
"Oh ****." I said.

A phone to the clinic later, I had told them what had happened, and they said it would be taken care of. So I have to go back tomorrow to see if they got it right this time.

At least it's not life-or-death that I get these meds, because otherwise they would have some serious problems on their hands.

Anyway, that was the highlight of my day.

So what was the verdict treatment and prescription? I told you no scrapping - lay off Neosporin, simply clean, keep dry and use light dressing to allow oxygen exposure.

So they packed it with a "string" or gauze to allow it to drain?

should have amputated!

What, no fighting? There goes my plans for the weekend!

I got some new dressings and some tape, so I should be all set for now.

Aye, they put some anti-bacterial gauze into it and told me to pull it out a little bit every day. Obviously that will be when I change the dressing and wipe up the fluids that drain out.

My wife is a 3rd grade teacher here in Knoxvegas. One of her students got sick and went to the doctor. Dr prescribed antobiotic and they went to Walgreens to fill the prescription. Went home took the medicine. Kid felt awful. Called Dr. and Dr. said, keep taking your medicine and you will get better. Next day, kid felt even worse. Called the Dr. and Dr. said to call pharmacy. Pharmicist says to come in without asking any questions. They go in and pharmicist looks at the pills. They are not antibiotics they are adult high blood pressure pills. Kids BP is dangerously low.

Walgreens called and tried to settle without even having the Mom mention money. They are pissed and I am sure will get some green from Walgreens over the deal.

Just remember, Drs. and Pharmacists are "just practicing".
