They are all nice as usual! But the wood on that Krink is magnificent. What Krink is it / who made it?
Very sweet pics. You inspired my camo and militaria collecting with your pics a few years ago, so if I go broke and end up living under a bridge, I blame you! ;)
I might post a thread too, but I won't hijack yours.

Not now, I will be back in Ilinois in 6-8 weeks... but maybe in arizona it is easier to get papers... you know how it is ,every state-diferent law, in Pa it was easy to buy weapons with showing only driving license, in connecticut it was not so easy, in DC almost imposible to get permision on handgun, in illinois you need permison before you can buy it but i.e silencers are forbidenn (but.. you can buy them in wisconsin without problem :-) and bring to ilinois)

Actually ,
We're were setting up the last shots with the gear and weapons, and here comes a guy walking towards us to see what we're doing.
I don't think he spotted the weapons, but he looked curious about what we were filming there.
The minute he walks around the corner, and see me placing the AKM on the jacket, he stops, and opens his mouth.
There it was AKSU, SVD, AKM. He went - "Hi, how are you guys?" (almost whispering) lol
and kept on walking faster.
As for Krink, it was built on a Romanian CUR 5.45 reciever, with a fake can extension to keep it legal. Wood was brought from Russia.
Post your stuff here Ezra, the more - the better.

Its a longer barrel (to keep it legal)
You need SBR for true AKSU's length.
Doesnt look like a PBS for AKSU .

Hey Permski, isnt that newer SVD, the one with the folding stock in use for airborne units, called the "SVDS" or is that something else.... If I am not wrong, doesnt the SVDS have a shorter barrell as well....???

A Chinese? Can you say how it compares in quality with the Russian ones?
Another question(s) I'm hoping you might be able to answer:
In case I would like to buy one from Russia, what's the place to go? Do you need some special license to export?

OMG! What is that?? Is it a train? Is it an airplane? NO! It's the magical blue tape! :D
No that everyone mentions it, it really does seem like that all the pictures feature that blue tape... I always use black, thought...
We were trained not tape them "one-up-one-down", but in paraller, one a bit higher than the other...

Yep.
Permskiiomon... have you tried the new 3x-x9 power scopes for the SVD?
How does that effect its usefulness?
From my own hunting experience I would expect the extra magnification would make longer range shooting easier but would be interested to hear the thoghts of someone who has played with one first.
Also have you tried the SVDU?
I have heard there are 15 round mags designed for the SVD series now especially for this model (the bullpup model with full auto capability).
Regarding the blue tape I think those extra fat 60 round mags are the best answer I have seen.

The Belorusian ones
something like 1p21 or 23
My friend has one here, I've shot with it, and I like it.
The zoom works very good. But you must compensate for the zoom, with trajectory when aiming. Overal I would still prefer PSO1, because you are not limited on your vision. There is no zoom, so you always have an open field of view.
Here it is on his SVD if this is what you are talking about.
