I don't know if this has been posted before. It makes me sick, and sad to say I'm a Dem.

CAMPAIGN RAGE: FLORIDA DEMOCRATS PLACE NEWSPAPER AD CALLING FOR RUMSFELD HIT; FUNDRAISING FOR KERRY

Campaign 2004 turns extreme in Florida with the placement of a newspaper ad calling for physical retribution against Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld!

"We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say 'This is one of our bad days,' and pull the trigger," the ad reads.

MORE

The call-to-arms fundraising ad, placed by the St. Petersburg Democratic Club in the current issue of the GABBER, a local St. Petersburg paper, asks readers to make an urgent donation to the John Kerry campaign.

Club Vice President Edna McCall told the DRUDGE REPORT Tuesday morning: "We want to get our country back. In Iraq, we're in deep trouble. If we don't try to get this situation cleared up, we are finished."

When asked if the ad was a challenge to inflict violence on Rumsfeld, McCall explained: "'Pull the trigger' means let Rumsfeld know where we stand, not to shoot him!" (MY NOTE: in context it clearly means to kill him)

"We are getting raped, and they are planning to steal the election again."

McCall said her club is in direct contact with John Kerry campaign.

"We're all working together."

The publisher of the GABBER says running the ad with the passage "pull the trigger" was a mistake that "slipped through" during the editing of this week's edition.

Groups on both sides always are gonna take this too far. For some reason they feel honest hate...it's just sad.

This election is gonna get dirty. Real dirty.

Some of the Dems are even "condemning" this. http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/13/dem.ad/index.html

I know the Secret Service takes threats against the President seriuosly (even if they are jokes), what about the rest of the cabinet?
Not in good tastes!

If there was a Dem in the White House, I guarantee you the roles would be reversed with the GOP attacking any Dem war as "another Vietnam".

This is payback for the Clinton impeachment.

Yeah, I'm a democrat, but I hate all this political "jockying for position, vying for power' BS we go through every election year.

And it really sucks NOW since it is an important phase with the Iraqi reconstruction with everyone looking to divide the US public opinion! :|

I have been a dem up until 2001. Now im a registered republican. I can honestly say i would support the war effort regardless of who was in office. Al Queda and Saddam had it comming for years.

I was in the same boat. Raised a Dem and voted for Clinton in '96 and Nader in 2000. Biggest thing to change my party affiliation------ Tom Daschle. He just couldn't shut up for like 20mins last year around this time. Then the rest of the party turned south.

I agree. Any war worth fighting is worth winning.

I got scared when Joe Lieberman "told Hollywood" that they where gonna tighten the rules and enforce liability on the movies they put out, as to how they affected 'kids' around the country.

And Al Gore, well...one guy short of charisma. :]
