does anyone know any good books on like the training and tactics of german troops and canadian or american troops in WW2? and does anyone know any titles of memoirs or stories of the troops so i can see what the training and unique tactics they had. sorry guys for being too general but i don't have much time too tired :P

Dude check out Osprey- for instance http://www.ospreypublishing.com/title_detail.php/title=S6623

They do a whole range of on WW2 infantry and armour tactics. Pretty solid.

"Because We Are Canadians", by Sgt. Charles Kipp

Try this one. Very interesting read, straight from the guy's heart. Covers some of his training in Canada, landing in Normandy, and all the way to Northern Europe. Highly recommended reading for any Canadian. Check it out.

Atm im reading a book called "The Poor Bloody Infantry" Its about the Allied Infantry in WW2. Its a old book but i find it pretty good.

I actually read Jarhead the book and found it pretty good, im currently on Friendly Fire and it seems decent enough though just starting.

Check out books by Steven Ambrose: Citizen soldier, Band of Brothers are two really good ones.

U.S War Department Handbook on German Military Forces: With an Introduction by Stephen E. Ambrose. It is available from Louisiana State University Press. It was originally distributed in March 1945 and gives a brief overview of… well, nearly everything. Depending on how you use it, it can be a good primary source. However, keep in mind that it is an American interpretation of the German military during war time.
