Photos like this one always get to me...I have small children of my own, and I can't imagine what it would be like to have to leave them behind to go to war. It's hard enough leaving them every morning to go to work! :)

You aren't kidding. These kinds pics tug at my heart too. I too have kids, a daughter about that age and a son. I can't imagine the agony of having to leave them, especially knowing you might not come back with any life left in you. But these pics also are a reminder of what is truly important.
Great selection of pics today as usual.

When I was a kid I wanted to build one. I don´t think it would be difficult, or
expensive. But I guess there is very hard safety regulations that most be followed,
and a lots of bureaucracy, paperwork etc etc that would just suck.

No flame war, Uncle Cho! :D
I can understand why seeing kids dressed up in military clothes would make you feel uncomfortable--I guess it might remind you of the Hitler Youth or something.
But I don't think that that is true in this case. I don't think this is a case of little girls being brain-washed or turned into little hawks, but rather a case of kids wanting to "be like Daddy".
Being the father of two young boys, I understand their intense desire to imitate me, and so I have to be always on my guard as to what kind of example I'm setting for them.
As far as kids dressing up as soldiers is concerned, I feel that is a normal part of growing up. Kids have always played "dress up". Didn't you ever plays "cops and robbers" when you were little? Dressing up as military is no different--if it is not something that is forced upon them. Do kids understand the full ramifications of what it is to be a soldier: probably not; but I don't believe it will have any lasting detrimental effect, so long as the parents stay involved in what their kids are doing.
Just my $0.02

The right is definitely a Knight's Armament SR25. I hope that wasn't your question.
The one on the left is peculiar. It looks like an M4A1 from the reciever up, and has a full buttstock.

I was refering to the sr25.... What confused me there was the 5.56mm mag. I was under the impression this gun was 762 only.
And the carbine on the left is really weird now that you mentioned it.

Right one could be any number of accurized AR15s that are offered for civilian purchase.
The left one has a Diemaco-type upper (brass deflector but a non-step barrel) and a full stock. Weird.
