Palestinian students perform in a play against Israel's controversial separation barrier at the Arab American University in the West Bank town of Jenin, 25 November 2006. The International Court of Justice issued in 2004 a non-binding ruling that parts of the 650-kilometre (410-mile) barrier which crosses the West Bank are illegal and should be torn down. Israel has vowed to complete the project, seen by the Palestinians as an 'apartheid wall' and by the Israeli government as a necessary 'security fence' against Palestinian attacks. Actually, is probably in the mountains. And yes, there are many villas there.
My comment above was obviosly sarcastic. Of course the UN/International peacekeeping forces know were he his. He's not yet arrested because he enjoys some good relationship with senior politicians in Timor, who are protecting him. And, in my point of view, there's no need to arrest him in a violent manner and he's under constant surveilance. That's why he's still at large (altought the situation is starting to get ridiculous...)

Construction workers of the monastery have unearthed over 200 skeletons in 2002, some of small children and some had teeth missing and bullet wounds in their heads, which they believe are victims of a Soviet secret police massacre shortly after World War Two. About the plane crash in Chile. The captions mention five portuguese or brasilian dead + the chilean pilot.
There were in fact 4 portuguese (all journalists, two of them former collegues of mine) + i chilean + 1 bolivian. They were all on holidays.

RIP

The retreat across the Berezina of the remnants of Napoleon's Grand Army, which invaded Russia June 24, 1812, took place from Nov. 26 to Nov. 29, 1812. In total of nearly half a million soldiers, from France as well as all of the vassal states of Europe, who invaded Russia in June, barely 10,000 survived by the end of the campaign, December 1812.
