The Chinese have a lot of reliability problems with their subs, expecially their Xia class and others. Their Russian bought Kilo boats seem to be doing alright as they should be...

That last pic (035 class) looks identical to a Russian Foxtrot class sub...right down to the air cover.

I wonder- is there anything in the Chinese inventory that isn't a clone or bastardized clone of some other country's equipment. That isn't flame-bait, I am just wondering about China's capacity for....umm, "origional thinking".
