I once went out to have a couple of drinks and "be back by 1100" because we had to train the Joes the next morning. So i end up meeting some other friends, my ride (a responsible NCO) goes back to the barracks. I stay out all night getting destroyed on red bull and vodka.

I made it back to the barracks in time to shower, change, puke (again), and go to formation. I had a buddy standing outside of the latrine with a bottle of water and some mouthwash, that's a good friend right there.

Those were the longest Land Navigation classes i've ever taught.
