With his hands.

They think they found his tomb but will not open it until they can garuntee things in there will not rot right away when outside air comes in.

well, obviously. But I was thinking for such a long lance to be strong enough to be effective (at, let's say, a cavalry charge) would have to be very thick and thus considerably heavy (which in turn will make it less effective). Wouldn't it be better to just have something shorter?

I just wish they would dig up his mausoleum already. If it's not looted entirely it could be magnificently rich (even more so than the tomb of Tutankhamun for example) and one of the greatest archeological finds of this century.

1st, historical records from that era are not that accurate.
2nd, those are most likely folklores, so the number of death are greatly 'buffed'

3rd, evil? says the barbarian. To destroy your enemy, you need to wipe them out completely. don't use your "modem " ideology to judge something you have no idea of.
how many lives lost from the so called 'crusades' back then?

go home and read more books.

I saw a thing about him on discovery a few months back. Got to handed to the guy. They said his doctors gave him mercury pills which they thought were good for him. Just turned him crazy.

He may sound like an evil to many people but he did have the contriubtion to the ancient china which may balance the evil-act he had committed.First,he united the 7 countries to avoid more lives costed during the long-term battles within these 7 countries. Moreover,he united the measuring scales and system, and the language which was very vital for the later flourishing development in Han dynasty.Last but not least,a lot of mega-structures like canels and routes were built in his order which gave the ancient china awesome foundemental potential.

So he's angel or evil?Who to judge?
