Ive a Question.
Did Major-General Michael Jeffrey earned his SAS Beret while going through SASR selection or did he got it while in command of SASR in1975.
(i did a quick search on wiki and it just said he commanded SASR but whther he served frontline in this Unit)
Then Capt Michael Jefferey served as Ops Officer HQ SAS Far East,Labuan during the Borneo 'Confrontation' (1965-66).Whilst he didn't command an SAS Sqdn he did take part in some patrols one of which went across the border into Indonesian Kalimantan. Not sure where he won his MC though.
Mike Jeffrey's SASR service dates almost from the beginning of it's existence as 1 SAS company, Royal Australian Regiment in the late '50's.He also conducted the unit's first selection tour in 1960.

A citation for the fact that they were wrongfully accused and held responsible for the massacre for years. It was about time as well.

If they would have done their job in the first place my friends family would have been alive now, not slaughtered like animals in 1993.

They did the job to the best of their abilities. They were stuck between two groups that murdered, raped and pillaged eachother on every occasion they got. Heavily outnumbered and poorly equipped abandoned by their so called allies of the UN.

Sorry for your loss but I find it shocking that you're so poorly informed for someone who has lost close relatives there.

Britain's Prime Minister Tony Blair addressing the House of Commons in central London, Monday, Dec. 4 2006, lays out plans for a new multibillion-pound, submarine-based nuclear deterrent, warning lawmakers the future may hold perilous threats from rogue regimes and state-sponsored terrorists. Blair told lawmakers that despite the end of the Cold War, potentially hazardous threats were posed by North Korea, Iran and others. "In these circumstances, it would be unwise and dangerous for Britain alone of any of the nuclear powers to give up its independent nuclear deterrent," he said. Blair said Britain would cut back on its stock of nuclear warheads from 200 to 160 _ a move intended to make the proposal more acceptable to detractors within his own party. But he said a proposal to reduce the nuclear-armed submarine fleet from four to three would be taken only after a new vessel is designed. Blair said advisers had ruled out land or air based alternatives. Blair is flanked by Leader of the House of Commons, Jack Straw, left and Britain's Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett, right.

Yes it's partly their fault, it's also partly the fault of the West who didn't care what the Muslims were doing when they were raiding out of a "demilitarized, safe haven" and then hiding behing UN lines.

Beside, it could be really funny to see that next to a US-aid sign (US-aid which, BTW, keeps its offices in Tel Aviv).
But in fact, it is a bush that grows absolutely everywhere here, and nothing to be done with.
