I just bought a pack of Marlborough Lights, and was outside on the dorm's porch with a couple of other students the other night enjoying the evening. We were discussing various brands, and somebody said that Marlboroughs were tasteless crap. I noticed that he was puffing on a Camel (he had the pack in his hand).

Anyway, what's your preference?

Nah. Marlboroughs are the best. I do want to try Majors though.

I like Camels too, but many people cant handle em.
Also if you like marlboros, try Marlboro 27's, they got a better flavor IMHO.

I used to smoke for a looong time. Chose the oddest time to quit...when I was downrange. I brought 2 packs of Lucky Strikes with me and once they were gone I pretty much quit.

Well, not to imply that a filtered cigarette is "healthy" or anything, but there is an estimate 35% reduction in tar, and minimal reduction in nicotine intake (if you know how to inhale properly), plus you can smoke mroe of it, without burning your fingers. :lol:

Well, he's right about Marlboroughs.
Lights. That's such a girly thing to smoke. Tried it once, didn't taste anything and they were 100's so they took for-bloody-ever to finish.

Lucky Strike or Camels are good, but i prefer rolling tobacco and a bit of dry snuff once in a while.

I don't really think so, since I havn't even bought a pack of cigarettes on this continent yet, bummed a few but never actually spent my own money. I don't think I smoked this year yet.

Ha, I thought this thread was only a week and a half old until I noticed the year. :)

I don't smoke cigs too often (mainly a pipe and cigar guy) but I've experimented quite a bit. I used to smoke cigs regularly when I got out of basic training, all of my friends smoked and since I'm not adverse to smoking I just bought a pack every now and then so I could take smoke breaks with them.

Anyway, I've found Marlboro's to be kinda neutral, the menthols are ok and the reds give a good nicotine hit. Camels are a lot stronger IMHO with more of a buzz and a strong aftertaste. Kool's seem to be popular but they have an odd flavor that I can't stand, Newports are usually my preference if I'm looking for menthol. The best cigarettes that I've had were some French brand that I bought in a nice tobacco shop in CA, on the box it said "Fabrique au Caire," which I believe is Cairo, Egypt. Very smooth, almost a creamy taste. Never have seen them since though.

I do like cloves on occasion, if you consider them to be cigarrettes. Djarum Blacks are pretty good, but they have a new type, I don't remember the name but they are unfiltered (nothing but the best for my lungs woot ). They're great, got a nice spicy flavor and an aftertaste that reminds me of cinnamon.

I've been stepping down on the smoking lately, or trying to.

Just put an order for a pack of Pipe tobacco (Caledonian Highland Cream )
And several packs of Dry Snuff (the kind you snort)

I'll try and lay off the sigaretts\rolling tobacco and try for some less dangerous tobacco products (snuff is a all natural tobacco product, used by the native americans. Pipe tobacco has far less addatives than sigaretts or rolling tobacco)

I grew up in a household with 4 brothers, so I had to learn how to defend myself. I've been doing MA for roughly 10 years, but I never used it on anybody for self defense except my brothers. Now I see MA is just a hobby and a way to keep me in fantastic shape as you can see :P
