Does anyone had a size chart for the German army trouser?

What does Gr.6,7, 8 etc mean?

thanks

That's part of it but most german sites and German Army clothes have a number size from, it looks like, 1 to 20. These seem to have height and waist integrated into them.

I finally found a site that has it

http://stores.ebay.de/Speicher-Berlin/Grosentabelle.html

Althought I have a pair of trousers that say Gr 8 (175-185/90/80) which doesn't match this chart... I think I still need help.

Actually, it DOES match the chart ;)

It goes like this:
8 is the Bundeswehr confectionary size, the other measures are only more specific sizes within that confectionary size (more or less redundant if you know your cenfectionary size)

175-185 is the normal body height range for which the confectionary is intended for. For larger/smaller persons there are special sizes charts.

90/80 is the waist girth/leg length in Millimeters, in inches it would be ~36/31. Note that the leg length is the inner leg length of the TROUSERS, not the person wearing it. Thats why it seems so short.

Anyway, here is a more comparative size list for all german clothing sizes compared to some other popular measurements: http://www.orbit9.de/wissen/kleidergroessen.php

Right the first chart is what applies to normal sized outer clothing (including your trousers), the second chart is for short/fat persons, the third for large/slender persons. The last two items (Brustumfang/Bundweite) mean Chest girth/waist girth in millimeters.

Yup... only problem is that they show the former East German sizes and not the unified (West) German sizes, which this thread is about ;)
