woot ......Funny guy! Don´t know how to explain my self in english, but in Sweden we say that it´s funny when someone can "bjuda på sig sjäv" whitch means that it´s funny when people can act stupid in front of a camera, and don´t mind that people will think that they seem stupid.....:)

Yeah, I have much more respect for a guy who can do that, people who just try to act big and though usually aren't.

No problem being silly; it's throwing a fine piece of equipment like a Sig550 that is - or getting a bayonet riccochet in the back of your head that is.

Welcome to the wonderful world of conscript armies - psychological fitness only on a very basic level required. At least here in Austria, and I doubt Germany or Switzerland (as in this case here) is much different. People are bored, and so a lot of stupid stuff happens.
On a side note, we even had an Army Youtube scandal in Austria about 2 weeks ago, where a number of videos were found on Youtube, showing Austrian conscripts e.g. drinking with Foreign Legion soldiers in Lourdes, trying to smash a traffic sign, and other such nonsense. This led to a massive amount of Youtube videos being removed, since many people feared disciplinary consequences...

I have seen conscripts here in sweden do worse stuff. As alfigel said, welcome to the world of conscript armys. They don't own the equipment so they don't care and if they **** up they just have to say that they hadn't been told not to do it.

Well, at least this problem has been solved in the way that everything that is damaged or lost when the soldier leaves the Army has to be paid.

Well, give those same "conscript monkey's" a goal they feel worthwhile, and it's amazing what they can achieve.
After all most of your Austrian Gebirgsjäger ancestors that fought in my country at Narvik during WW-2 and later further up north on the Litza-front against the Red Army were conscripts and not volunteer regulars as f.ex. the soldiers of the British army are today.
Also most of the Finns that tvice repelled assaults by numercialy superior Soviet forces on their country during WW-2 were conscripts.
The problem for you Austrians and the Swiss is there are no clear and easily definable threath on the horizon afther the end of the cold war. At least for as long as you don't stick your head out in peacekeeping peacerestoring operations like those f.ex. on offer in Kosvo, A-stan and Lebanon.

Are you serious. All you had to do was not to tick the little box where it said "I am willing ot pay for the items lost".
