  1. Cool thanks for the info. Now I am just waiting for BestBuy to make the sale/promotion for D200.They come and go.

I found a Nikon 300mm F4 AF for $400. Not sure whether it's worth getting such an old model. The newer AF-S version costs almost $1500. I hate being poor. :[
  2. Alright mate, update on the D200. All is good but battery life is not great compared to the D40, if you get one I'd advise a spare battery or better still - a grip.
  3. Thanks. We should ask for at least a sticky on "Post you last photo thread". It would be cool if we could get a subsection in the Off Topic. There's many people asking for questions regarding cameras photography and etc. Often also there special events with huge amount of photos, which would be better put in a new thread than the regular our thread. We should ask of one the mods perhaps.
  4. No problem mate.

Like the picture of the flag in the doorway btw. This place has some outstanding photography, maybe it needs a dedicated section for us snappers.
  5. PS- I hope you don't mind me adding you as my e-friend.
  6. Yeah, definitely keep the d40. It's light and great for light travel. :)

I feel the same about ISO. Although I do quite a bit of low light photography, I still find myself only going to 800 the most. Well at least since I got that 1.4 prime. hehe.

Enjoy that D200 when it finally comes. ( I hate waiting for the mailman when something I really want is on the way, hehe) Looking forward to pics from you.
  7. $600 is damn cheap, get one :D

It should be here Tuesday, I love my D40 though and apparently this is not so good for high iso because of more pixels on same size sensor, I never really use high iso though, I think high iso is the new mega pixel row really, not that relevant unless you need it. I'm looking forward to the fast AF system though, 11 point instead of 3. And also I'll be able to auto focus on my 500mm Sigma, something the D40 could not do. I'm keeping the D40 still though, will be nice not having to swap lenses while out.
  8. Wow man, that $760. I saw new ones here in BestBuy for $600. My d70s is really giving up on me, I need a replacement soon. Maybe I will look into D200 to save more monies for the lenses. When you get yours tell me how you like it. Man,I need a flash too. Damn I better start saving up quick before d70s completely goes kaput on me.
  9. £475, I was thinking of getting a Fuji S5 Pro but they've actually got rare and gone up in price since they stopped making them.
  10. Mind if I ask how much you got the D200 for?
