I worked as a local cop, primarily in patrol, for about 6 1/2 - 7 yrs before jumping to the Feds.
And I apologize if that question was a bit nosy by the way, but some background on me, I'm going to school right now out here in California, and I kind of fancy having a go at becoming an LEO once school is over.
Were you a regular Patrol guy before you made the jump, or did you get in right off the bat?
