  1. Well those changes happened later and I understand what you mean. That members of congress make changes that have adverse effects to programs that had been great in concept. I just believe that healthcare reform needs to be made since we spend the most per capita on insurance and definitely don't get as much bang for out buck as some other countries.
  2. No. Just look at Social Security. What was origionally intended as a safety net for old people has been expanded into a Federal retirement program for everyone, and cash benefits for criminals and junkies who never worked a day in their life. Plus, SS is going bankrupt.
  3. I know man...but Rx might said yes there were...I was attempting to make a point. Amendments to the bills happen before they're signed into law, not after...or maybe I missed something when I took government in high school.
