G, check out Craigslist under Transportation. Lots of jobs out there. I sent my resume to the one I am working at now and got picked up. Just saying. We have been fortunate up here as far as work.

G... my MOS works and trains with the Army. Last time I was in Iraq, we were putting in Helicopter landing pads. I am in Civil Engineering. We make civilization out of ****.
Right now its gonna be Seattle, which is fine, that was her idea. Me personally I'm a "sticks" fella. yelm, Brooklyn, maybe even say Raymond would be fine for me...commuting would be hell but wah..... I heard air force has good cable, everybody has A/C these days.....
Airforce has the A/C! LOL! Anyway, there is a lot of work depending on what you do. I am a drafter and in my field there are always work. Not sure what your looking for but depending where you want to live Boeing is always hiring and it is pretty good. I am right between Portland and Seattle out in the sticks.
seriously, this state has gone full retard since the McDonalds shooting, just waiting on 2....maybe three things Girlfriend is already up there establishing things (less work on my end) the job opening and getting approved (this so far is the hard part) and finally my brother being financially able to continue the house payments here (technically he is bound by a custodial order, and his girlfriend does not want to move)

I recommend you say Montana! LOL! I have been up here for 12 years since I left the Bay Area. Loving this place. Glad your heading up. Funny thing is I am the NCOIC but at the Portland Airbase. I transfered from Everett for the Promotion. TSgt. David Sherman.
and yes never looking back, when my tour ends hopefully I will be at my retirement age, and conviniently lose the return ticket and get lost to the airport!
