There are 100's of youth payers n the UK. there are hundreds of thousands of football fans. They are even talking about moving a franchise to London. There are only 2 real good youth programs producing real talent. Both in London. It'd be interesting to see the US military if they made football teams.
How many youth programs are there, seriously they the reason why so many people like football in the states is because a lot of people play it starting when they were five years old, I didn't play until middle school and that was flag football, high school was real football. I wish the US Army was like the British Army so we could have sports teams, back in the day companies used to have baseball teams.
Nah. The London teams like the olympians and cobras/warriors program are the only ones producing any talented players. For a time they had the international program where about 8 players from here made it to NFL practice squads for a few years.NFL coaches would come over and watch our combines. But the London Cobras/warriors youth program is getting a few young guys to college teams. one guy went to Michigan this year. So it's more for sunday players and has only 1 or 2 programs producing guys to export to the US. I was lucky to be part of the only "elite" program in england for a couple of years. Was good fun.
So is BAFL premier league like legit?
I played in a team for it, it's a real amature league. My team had a few guys who went to practice squads in the states and who played in NFL europe. We had some NFL europe and college football coaches in our team at points too. So the London teams aren't really so amature. I go to the NFL games that come here though.
