I also like Maiden and Metallica, but not really a big fan of DragonForce
DragonForce are overhyped.... Manowar, Blind Guardian, Judas Priest, Dio, Iced Earth (now that Barlow is back) Hammerfall, Ayreon, Gamma Ray, Running Wild, Rhapsody of Fire, Finntroll... and Metallica the MTV pop sellouts suck monkey balls, ever since ReLoad.
I agree that Metallica sucks since Load.. But Kill em all, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and And Justice for all rule.
arrrrrrr good group I'm more of a thrash than a death guy myself, but I enjoy all metal, even 80s and glam. Hopefully forthcoming Metallica will actually be metal, but I kinda doubt it. Luckily we have -> Testament - the Formation of Damnation Modern thrash at its finest.
I listened to new Testament and dint really like it. I still love early trash, Slayer,Metallica,Megadeth Some death metal bands are awesome too, for example Nile.
I'm surprised you didn't like it - it's absolutely brutal heavy ! I like the death too, but I find a lot of the newer tunes are all too similiar. Like Erik Rutan/Hate Eternal style death - every single song has a 270 bpm blast beat :p I don't think I've taken Death-Symbolic out of my car player since it was released in 1995 LOL. And Nile rules indeed.
Korn, Combichrist, Psyclon 9, Atreyu, Lamb of God, Killswitch enagae. I like them all. Other that I cannot think of at the moment.

i freaking love 80's stuff. and i don't know weather or not dragon force is over hyped or whatever. i'm not really into mtv or anything. i just got one of their cd's and liked it. i also like rob zombie , although again, i'm not sure if he's overhyped or whatever. .
