Payer at school? Church-State separation. Devotion comes from devotio (to pledge your self in the afterlife to the damned gods). If anything I'm using the etymological definition.

Actually not. I said that an atheist had nothing to show off, so one can hardly display any devotion as an atheist. An agnostic has doubts...an atheist has none. An atheist however can not use IMO the same modus operandi than a believer in God.

Regarding the discussion on atheism. You are doeing exactly what I stated to not be atheism. You think that atheists have a taboo over God. Wich is not truem it's the contrary. An atheist fundamentally finds organiwed religion as dangerous, because an atheist sees through the system that bears the said God. That's why Soviet Atheism was (as many authors have mantioned) almost a copy cat of the Orthodox Church of Russia.

Atheism is a cultural issue, not a belief issue. As proven people not introduced to classic faith do indeed manage to find out a center of moral integrity that stems not from the 10 commandments or religious doxa.

In other words, an atheist does not need to express or show his disbelief in God or any deity. That's why a devout atheist IS NOT POSSIBLE as enshrining practices of atheism is impossible. There are no atheistic prayers. There are no atheistic gospels. Unless you want to tell me something I don't know.
