adopted many symbols from the teachings of what were called the "mystery school" of ancient Babylonian and Egyptian cultures and qabbala up in the higher degrees of the Scottish York Rite .The most common symbols of Freemasonry are the all seeing eye of Horus and the pyramid.A good book on the subject is called "The secret teachings of all ages" by Hall.The book covers so much information that it is staggering.I have been reading it on and off for the last 6 months.I got it as a gift.It's like reading
a set of books rather than just one book.Some of the info is dubious but well worth the read.

I would disagree with you on substituting Mandarin for French, it may be a strategic language right now, however we will be getting wrapped up in Africa more...just watch and a majority of the people in Africa speak French as well as their tribal language. This is just my opinion though.
