Pretty hard to pick them, some of the blokes I would have thought were lifers got out not much longer after I did, PTSD got a few that were tipped to stay in for 20+, then some of the blokes who I thought would have been long gone are still in.
A bit of profit sharing, that's what I like to see... we've increased production by 25-30% since I showed up (nothing to do with me, we're just filling up holes as they drill them, although I have held things together during the more hectic schedule) , which is a boat load of coin, but boss man digrar's salary remains the same...

A couple, one got out before we went to Timor, then got back in, just got back from Afghanistan, another is still in the same platoon as when we left. A few others are still serving, but have gone through the ranks, so they're not in the battalion anymore. Our old boss in recon platoon is the Commanding Officer now.

Couple of days left in this swing and then up to Brisbane for the 10 year reunion with the Battalion. Will be good to catch up with all the reprobates.

Keeping busy mate?

We've already moved a significant amount of head office up to Singers, we're pushing into North Western Asia and it's a transport hub etc.

I doubt that will happen, but there's always the chance some art school chick will rope me in. There are a lot of topics I'd like to cover- cultural issues interest me a lot, as well as political ones. I hope to be in North Korea whenever they open up. Anytime you want to collaborate just let me know. Can't promise it'll be profitable, though. haha

It's a small crew, 4 operators and 1 trainee, the trainee is not on the radar right now, but the operators are all generally good, professional, good at what they do, timely, conscientious. But you only have to have one lapse to cause a fair bit of damage here and all of them have had the one lapse in concentration in the last couple of months, causing about 15 grands damage between them. I don't really agree with the process, but the boss man wants it done, so be it, I'll be telling them to keep on keeping on, that it's not worth worrying about.

Singas, that would be an experience. I could have pointed you in the direction of one of the members here from Adelaide who lived there. But he managed to jam his head up his arse six months ago and I had to bin him.

Pretty hectic, not really worth the extra coin, but it's getting better, or I'm getting used to it, one or the other. Just had to write up 3 written warnings today though, not really the way I would like to go about business, but the boss man has had a gut full of fvckers breaking sh1t.
