I am going to jump in and call a halt to this. I really don't care for pecker measuring contest. If you are on the tip of the spear, even other people on the sharp end are behind you. There is always one up man ship. Everyone who serves, is doing something meaningful. Look at all the people who don't serve and just suck on the tit of society. When everyone in the military does their job, it save lives and get the job done. In the War I was in, a lot of grunts are alive because those in the rear where doing their jobs. There has always been intersevice rivalry and MOS rivalry. If any thing it can be fun, but when taken seriously............. Guess who it helps?

well you have none because you STILL have no clue on who I am and where I have been

    you know nothing

REAL soldiers need no rain jackets so you MUST be a garritrooper

oh goody the child has some sort of intellegence but zero writing skills

typical day in the field you say?=no combat experience-FAIL

what's a blanket? oh I see your an honest to gosh garritrooper or a wannabe fobbit

and maybe I don't have this magic blue cord but I can bet I have sent more live bullets downrange at a former living breathing bad guys than you have at paper bullseyes as a matter of fact I can guarantee it!

so please pump your tiny ego some more... this entertains me
  4. No point, you just used it as an example, figured you had.
  5. No I have not whats your point ?
    VV
  6. Dude, did you take out a dshka?
  7. It takes balls to dismount your ARV to attempt recovery on a tank with a thrown track, while under DSHKA and 82mm recoilless rifle fire, from 3 positions. My buddy Nathan did this, and died trying to get another crew back in the fight.
It takes balls to knowingly drive your tank down the most heavily IED'd route in Afghan, so that the INFANTRY in their LAVs don't get brewed up. A couple of buddies of mine have done that; Mike's dead and Mark's got no legs.
It takes balls to drive your LAV forward to gain better eyes on the objective and adjust fire; Captain Goddard did that, and she's dead.
It takes balls to crawl up to an IED designed to kill a tank. My buddy George did that, and he's dead.

Don't ever talk to me about balls when you've never been there, pal. You've been swaddled up tight knowing that you'll be home by Sunday night or the end of the summer. The most on you're mind is whether you're going to get carded in the JRs or if your rifle is clean enough for inspection.

you REALLY have no clue on who you are talking to huh?

BTW do YOU have a purple heart? do YOU have a BSV? have YOU ever pulled out three guys in a burning humvee while under hostile fire?

have YOU been to two tours in Iraq going on a third? Panama? humanitarian deployments? anywhere but your backyard?

and you can't get a CIB unless you get an EIB first, shows you what you know probably couldn't pass the exam anyway...

hell you probably think hurt locker is the best thing the movie industry could make

scram junior talk to me when you are a MAN

yeah lets judge a guys picture and oh...just not know who he is and try insulting him
  9. Buds, there will come a time, when you've got arty dropping danger close, the tanks banging away, engineers clearing an IED, the comms guys coordinating it all, all in an effort to keep your section from being overrun, and you'll realize how wrong that attitude is.
Or, you'll say the wrong thing to the wrong pogue, and he'll tune you. Remember, nobody how big and tough you are, there's always somebody bigger and tougher who probably thinks you're a ****.
  10. So your BMQ and SQ, total of 8 weeks. Another 4 for BIQ, there's 12 weeks. Maybe an IPSWQ, another 3. For an equivalent total of, oh, lets say 16 weeks of full time training. Add in a average of 6 days a month of Class A. I'm gonna say 7 months of a year, for 3 years. Pretty close, I'd imagine. That's 126 days. Another 18 weeks total.
So 34 weeks total. Am I close? Probably right around that.
I probably have spent that much time on leave. I've spent just about three times that in theatre, and probably 4 or 5 times as much on work up training.
So hoist this aboard; you have a very small frame of reference that you are basing many of your posts on this site, in particular with regards to the CF, and it shows. There's nothing wrong with being proud of your trade, but there is something wrong with being overly so, to the point of you appearing to be a ****tard because of it.
