Being an 0313 is like being a basic mechanic. You don't pull parts or anything but you make sure the vehicle is running correctly and fill the fluids and change them when needed. I'm an 0313 and a gunner. I deployed as a gunner my last deployment and I have the billet again in my new platoon.

I personally have never seen a CBRN LAV and we were never taught about it. The only ones I know of are the LAV-25A2/LAV-L/LAV-M/LAV-R/LAV-AD/LAV-AT. All but the LAV-AD variant is used in the Marine Corps. If you are getting a degree in biomedical science then please do not waste your time joining the Marine enlisted and since we don't have a medical field, I honestly wouldn't join the Marine Corps. Your skills can be used elsewhere and to better effort in other branches.

Hey man, I'm actually on the west coast now. LAR is a bit of a weird combination of grunts and vehicles. If you want to be a crewman (Guaranteed to go to an LAR Battalion) just know it's a lot of working on your vehicle, doing dumb **** that doesn't make sense, and more working on your vehicle. You'll start off as a driver, then usually after your first deployment if you show that you're not a ****ing idiot then you'll be bumped up to the gunner's seat. So far I love the west coast, alot more relaxed (Even though it's 29 Palms) and everyone is chill about ****. 2nd LAR on the east coast is more anal about things because it's where the head shed generally resides and visits quite often.

I enjoy it, coming from the wing side to the infantry side is a difference but I fit right in.

But this eve I thought when I got the lackluster "Welcome to Firehouse..." just had me thinking about Moes and their lackluster response and he fact you were an employee.
