For your hebrew level to join IDF, dont worry when I made alya I was not speaking a word of hebrew and they send me to the "mirve Alon" program, 4 month of intensive hebrew learning, this is good because it enter in the 36 month of duty (it depend your age if you are more than 21 its going down to one year and half).
