there were a few restaurants we tried, the one in the courtyard as you walk in was actually quite good, can't remember the name. But it looked like there was attention to detail on the food.
One of the restaurants further up with a view across the valley, the waitress was a cvnt so we walked out. generally food is good. Sweet shop up near the entrance to the fort is worth a stop too ;-)
we stayed in one of the pricey B+B in the valley, you could see it from the village. But the nature walks up the hill are lovely - and not too crowded at all.
lulz I was in le Baux de Provence last summer too! 1 week there and one week Corsica. Le baux is a nice spot....
Howdy Mordy, its been a long time. How are you my friend?
Not sure if it's worth a post in the French Way of War thread, but I dislike De Gaulle, he was not a team player by any means. He was an ass. His overall skills as a General I find relatively marginal, as a politician, he did what got could keep him in power, yet he was unthankful and almost unwilling to work with us. If anything by pulling out of NATO completely what he did was hamper France's ability to defend her interests.
In regards to the modern Armee De Terre, I think overall equipment (the heavy stuff) is good, but not enough funding has gone towards the small things like boots, wages, uniforms as you know Chemise F1 and F2 are not really a uniform worn by a modern soldier.
kid got gumption
Back in full force!
