Was over there for christmas, some mountains (Zlatar?) about 10 klicks from Zlatibor. Plenty of snow this year, was very enjoyable as usual, and plenty of food to keep warm with. Teleca Corba is one of those things nicce to just heat up with during the day but doesn't leave you full for a main meal later. The mixed grill are divine :-)

Came back from sunny morocco towards the end of last year, I miss the sun and warmth, big time. So nice to have reliable weather. I'm interested in Astronomy, and warm clear evenings on my terrace were a joy, whereas cold wet evenings on a tiny windswept terrace in Ireland... you see where I'm going.
But the good thing is my social life is better, was quite isolated in Maroc, whereas I have plenty of old buddies in work here. Plus I'm studying for some Cisco exams, when the weather is crap is best time for it. Bit sick of how expensive Ireland is, money dissapears from my hands like water compared to Morocco! I've taken on some extra work and doing various thing to try and boost my wage, austerity bites the hand that feeds it! Hopefully things will pick up or otherwise I am gone out of here again. My Serbian wife is finding the same issues, so it's not just me imagining it.

I am laughing already bro', because they probably are posting crappola on the Facebook as we speak. Good one! I hope Australia is treating you good and it's good to see you posting stuff already. It's good to have smart, unbiased, and "healthily patriotic" Serbs around.

Cao Stefane, hvala na poruci i izvini sto nisam ranije odgovorio jer sam tek sad vidio PM. Nemas cega da se stidis, svako kroji svoju sudbinu, a i ja sam se preselio iz RS u Ameriku kada mi je dosadilo ispravljati krive Drine i nadati se da ce situacija da se promjeni nabolje. Koliko god da mi nedostaju prijatelji i rodbina, nisam se nikada pokajao niti pomislio da bih se ikada vise vratio dole (mozda, i to veliko mozda, za koju deceniju). Vidim da se i ti selis (u AUS?) i jako mi je drago za tebe, mada znam da je zalosno da toliko mladih ljudi zeli da ode zbog naseg mentaliteta koji se jos gore iskvario zbog sve ove bijede i ratova. Naravno, veliki problem je i nedostatak uslova/novca za normalan zivot a kako vidim to je postao ogroman problem i u ostatku J. Evrope (citao sam o hiljadama skolovanih ljudi koji odlaze iz Italije jer nemaju dobre uslove za zivot, daleko gore nego '90ih). U svakom slucaju sve najbolje, i ne sumnjam da ces se snaci gdje god da odes. Veliki pozdrav, V.I.D.

I just came across the thread of your great grandfather. That's a very interesting few pictures and a very interesting story. My father's father was in a concentration camp (not POW) for his involvement in the resistance. I didn't want to bump and old thread so I figured I would just leave a scrap here =)...

Anywayz I hope to see Serbia one day and I hope to see full reconciliation between our two countries.
