I find the volume on China related articles, Chicoms and Netizen has increased in the past week on the eve of Hu Jintao's visit. I've already received several PM from Chinese members telling me that America is a threat. Having traveled within China, I tell them the greater threat is at home with environmental degradation, and corruption.

There is no doubt that China has lifted many from poverty, but at a cost. Since the Communist haven't won an election in China, its legitimacy to keep in power is to deliver the 8% growth rate at all cost. This causes problems with the rest of the world and the Communist cannot dismount from a tiger for fear of being eaten.
