yes, I'm a descendant of Volga Germans.
I really can't say what the status of them is these days since they're not living as a kind of community anymore.
My grandmother was living in a German enclave, her children didn't.
Those who moved to Germany during the 90ies are pretty much your average Russians with some of the older people knowing
a German dialect.
I've met one guy once who's family moved during the 80ies and he barely could speak a few Russian words because his parents decided to
only speak German with him.
