Meant to write back. We were qualified to go of buildings etc to get people down when required. Theory was that if we stuffed up when on sites we could rescue ourselves (teams of two) if we ran into problems rather than wait for someone to turn up to do it, particularily when those harnesses cut the blood flow off in your nether regions pretty quick when hanging. Not such a bad job, but only something you can do for so long.
Those bike track pics are cool. My brother is a civil engineer living on the coast, he rides a lot at daisy hill etc. With your climbing, in a previous life i was vertical rescue qualified due to the amount of time i spent on top of buildings and infrastructure.
Nothing better than getting paid to do the training.
Warranties on giant have always been outstanding. Check with a few riders re the warranties. Years ago when i worked in the industry, brands like apollo (now raceline) would not warranty mtb frames.
