I've played against him at Camp Pendleton 2-3 years ago, he claimed to be a US Army Ranger, member of a fairly popular airsoft team called Rainbow... I'm glad he came clean.

I would say kudos to him for coming clean. But then again, he shouldn't have been running his piehole in a torrent of lies to begin with, so no sympathy even though I have never heard of him.

According to his wikipedia page, John McAleese became an airsoft "instructor" later on in his life.
So he told the truth because he got caught!!! What a pud.

that's not the guy's name. He's name is Tod... and he was US Army, just never a Ranger, sniper etc.
But yes he came lean only after been caught, not cool.
Tim Poe, is that you?

John McAleese was an amazing soldier, as real as it gets.

Nothing I can say against that. But ending up as an instructor for a bunch of airsoft SAS-circlejerkers is one helluva sad ending to a career IMO.

I agree 100%. I'm guessing it might have been a cash flow issue for him. I must admit I really don't get the airsoft thing, if people are into it I guess its good for them. Personally its a little weird for me.
