OK, I'd like to see with you guys who play airsoft your feedbacks about GBBRs ! I'm consider getting one, even at the heartbreaking choice of selling one of my 2 AEGs (I love them both, I wanna write them songs and giv ethem names... *sob*) !
Actually, I'm considering getting a SMG, like an MP7 or the Vector from KWA (if I could, I'd even go for a HK 416 from WE !) ! Any opinion ? Thanks in advance !!

I have a GHK AK105, but I'm having it customized right now, when it returns, I'll post some photo's.
And when I've skirmed with it, I'll tell you all about it! ;)

Lol Vector, I already have one. Only played around with it a few times, but the 2 round burst was the absolute deal maker for me.

Vector? Cool! I really like the looks of it! Does it shoot straight ? ;)

From what I read, GBBR has:
- expensive mags and internal parts,
- problematic maintenance (when compared to regular AEG), you have to clean it after every skirmish etc,
- troubles with low temperatures,
Of course it has its own pluses (lets face it - blow-back is its biggest plus), but if you have two decent AEG you might want to keep them. GBB is mostly for reenactors or milsim players looking for realism in ASG. If you can wait and if you're interested in M4 platform you might want to go for this:

B4A1 Sopmod (2012 version) - AEG with blow-back, reviewed version is not yet available, they got it from Bolt only for review. It uses standard AEG mags so you can keep that stuff from your regular AEGs. You can get B4A1 in EU but it's older model (with worse BB), so you'd have to wait until shops restock on new version (early next year).

- expensive mags and internal parts-----$40 each, not too much (WE M4)
- problematic maintenance (when compared to regular AEG), you have to clean it after every skirmish etc-----much easier maintenace than AEG, no need to open the annoying gearbox
- troubles with low temperatures------true
I only have 1 AEG in my armory right now which is a CA MK46, only reason I keep it it's because there isn't any GBB system I desire for it yet.

Of course it does, it also shoots decently hard right out of the box at approximately 1.2 Joules.

True, but personally I found a solution: Propylene.
There are ups and downs to it, one being stronger compound than regular propane. But It does pretty well in the cold. My WE m4 mags fired all rounds using propylene gas.

There's a G36 (renamed G39 for copyright reasons) in GBBR that is fairly cheap and efficient ! Made by WE !!
But I gotta save some monies first.... (I'm anti-loan, unless real necessity)
I'm not sure yet, GBB SMGs interest me too, as I mentionned the MP7 or the Vector (damn, that was the only stuff I was interested in when watching the new Total Recall)

I havent gotten an airsoft rifle in germany yet, but if I was going to, I would think about grabbing a GBBR. Mags weigh more, bolt catch works, some kickback and cheaper than a PTW.

I am doing the same, but for ease of training and keeping skills up while not carrying the real thing around. Not for "gaming" - I dont play airsoft. getting a M4 clone of some sort and a Glock 19. Will need to expand the collection to an AK 47 as well, but will start with the M4.
